Recruiting agency in Bangladesh
-
RL number is on the government's licensed agency list
Search the name and RL number on oep.gov.bd/agencies. The licence must be valid, not suspended. Open ↗
-
The office you visited is the address on the licence
Fraudsters borrow real licence numbers. The office, signboard and licence certificate on the wall must match.
-
The person you deal with works for that agency
Call the agency's number from the official list (not the one on your offer) and ask for them by name.
-
The agency shows a demand letter / job order for this job
A genuine recruitment starts with a demand letter from the employer, usually attested by the Bangladesh mission.
-
The agency gives a written, itemised total cost
Compare it with BMET's maximum for your destination. Anything above it can be reported.
-
Every payment gets a stamped receipt with the RL number
No receipt, no proof. Use the fee ledger to keep track.
Employer abroad
-
The company is on the official company register
Every destination has a business register. The name must match exactly, and the company must be active.
-
The business operates at the address given
Map photos are not enough, they can be years old. A local verifier can go and look.
-
An independently found phone number confirms the vacancy
Find the number yourself (official register, company website). Numbers on the offer can lead straight back to the recruiter.
-
The visa / permit names this employer as sponsor
Check on the destination's official portal, see the visa check guide.
-
Bangladeshi workers already there confirm conditions
Ask relatives, community groups or the mission's labour wing whether they know this employer.
-
Salary is normal for this job in that country
Offers far above the going rate are bait.
